Chat Memories is designed so that your data never leaves your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Chat Memories does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts, and no network communication of its own.

How your data is handled

• Chat archives you open (from local storage or iCloud Drive) are read and indexed only on your device. Media (photos, videos, voice messages) stays inside the original archive or iCloud folder and is loaded on demand into a local cache.
• Photos you choose as contact pictures are copied into the app's private storage on your device and are never uploaded.
• Search index and settings are stored in a local database on your device.

None of this information is sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

Permissions

• Files / iCloud Drive — to open the chat archive you select. Access is limited to what you pick.
• Photo Library — only when you choose a photo for a contact. The app requests access at that moment and uses only the photo you select.

Links

Tapping a link in a message opens it in your browser. At that point your browser — not Chat Memories — contacts that website. Chat Memories itself never fetches link contents or previews.

Children's privacy

Because the app collects no data, it collects no data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page.
